Anchors away! Nautical theme for baby shower and boy birthday cards

Ahoy! Blue anchors and red stars make a splash for a nautical themed baby shower or birthday party.

Baby shower invitations or congratulations cards in reds and blues. Patterned backgrounds also add a fun touch.

Birthday wishes for your first mate!

Mix an match additional elements, such as banners and flags to complete the look. The flags would make great cupcake toppers at the party.

Puppy dogs and red wagon card ideas for baby or young birthday

Puppy dogs and red wagons are a perfect theme for a baby boy shower, baby announcements or cards. Young boys will also love the sweet puppy dogs and classic red wagons for their birthday party.

Blacks, browns and reds are easy basic colors to coordinate with other party items including tableware and balloons.

Zoo Animal Baby Shower

My sister's recent baby shower was such a fun time. It gave me a chance to experiment with a few different craft projects.

Invitations

A simple card in a turquoise blue with a happy yellow giraffe. The white baby text jumps out on the bright color.

Decorations

Zoo animals added a fun touch to the décor. The yellow lion with polka dot mane was really cute. The chevron funny monkey gave everyone a friendly wave. My sister made the chocolate dipped pretzels with sprinkles. They were a hit!

Treats

The cake really came out well. We ordered extra plain cupcakes. I made the turquoise flags to go on top.

A little extra fun

Turquoise chevron moustaches were fun for everyone to get into the spirit of welcoming the little man!

Favors

I had been wanting to try chalkboard paint for a while. I made chalkboard clips with a magnet on the back using a thin wooden square attached to a wooden clothespin. Hot glue gun and craft paint were the only other tools necessary for this easy favor.
